‘Pakistan has already gone bankrupt’, confesses Defence minister Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is going through an unprecedented economic crisis in its history. The people of Pakistan are suffering without any means to live. Even as the price of drinking water has soared. Meanwhile, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif came out with a statement that the country is completely bankrupt. The minister said that Pakistan is going through a severe crisis and the country has already gone bankrupt. The minister made the shocking revelation during a function held at a college in Sialkot.

“You must have heard that Pakistan is going bankrupt or that a default or meltdown is taking place. It has already taken place. We are living in a bankrupt country. Standing on its own feet is crucial for Pakistan to stabilize itself. The solution to our problems lies within the country. The IMF does not have the solution to Pakistan’s problems.”, he said,

Khawaja Asif blames the Imran Khan government for the current situation in the country. “Terrorism flourished during the Imran government. Some of the things he did then made the country what it is today.”, he added. Khawaja also said that terrorism is Pakistan's destiny now.

Meanwhile, there is a huge price hike in Pakistan. The rise in fuel prices has led to this massive surge. A litre of milk now costs Rs 250. Chicken, one of Pakistan's staple foods, is also expensive. The current price of chicken is Rs 780 per kg. There are reports that the price may increase massively in the coming days. It is believed that the country's problems can be reduced to some extent with the IMF loan.
