THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new industrial policy would go into effect in the state in two weeks, according to Minister P. Rajeev. He was inaugurating the conference organized by the district committee of the Kerala State Small Industries Association at Hotel Apollo Dimora the other day.
"The new industrial policy is under final scrutiny by the finance department. Kerala has made great gains in the growth of the industrial sector in recent years. It has leapt from the twenty-eighth position to the fifteenth position in the country. The goal is to bring the state to the top ten by next year," the minister said.
"Government help is not important for industrialists. The key is to get the necessary permits and requirements for the industry quickly. The government is paying more attention to that. An industry-friendly atmosphere is prevailing in the state and the government will not allow anyone to destroy it," he said.
