‘Some thirsty for my blood, let them drink well,’ E P Jayarajan reacts to attending function honoring mother of Dallal Nandakumar

KOCHI: E P Jayarajan came to the fore with an explanation amid allegations that he attended the function honoring the mother of controversial middleman Dallal Nandakumar without participating in the Janakeeya Prathirodha Jatha (People's Resistance Rally) led by CPM state secretary M V Govindan. He told media that there is no truth in the news circulating and it is a planned move to spread misunderstanding and for a personal attack. Some are thirsty for my blood and let them drink well, he said.

‘Some media have unleashed a planned propaganda to mislead the people and to attack me personally. It is being done with the aim of spreading false information. e said that he came to Kochi to meet an ailing party worker. While returning, M P Murali, now working with the CPM invited for a programme at a temple in Vennala. When reached there, K V Thomas was also there. It was then the people in the temple said that a senior most woman is being honored. Honored her by draping a shawl brought by the temple committee. Nandakumar was there. While leaving, the temple committee requested me to have food. This is what is being circulated now. Some have adopted the stand of attacking the party. Such actions are unacceptable. Some may be thirsty for my blood. Let them drink well. Let them circulate that I am not participating in the march,’ he said.

Nandakumar also came forward denying the allegation of Jayarajan’s visit to his house. He said that he had not invited Jayarajan to the function and his presence was a coincidence. Nandakumar said Jayarajan draped the shawl as my mother was the senior woman present there. Nandakumar also said that he had not invited Thomas also for the function.
