Woman killed by alligator as she attempted to save her dog; body recovered from lake

FLORIDA: A woman who went for a walk with her dog by the lake was killed by an alligator. The incident took place in Florida, USA. The camera footage of the incident is circulating on social media. The deceased has been identified as 85-year-old Gloria Serge.

The alligator first attacked the woman's pet dog when she was walking along the lake shore with the dog. Gloria then tried to save the dog from the clutches of the alligator. However, the alligator dragged Gloria into the water and killed her.

The neighbour saw this and called the emergency number to save Gloria. However, Gloria was killed before anyone came for help. The body was later found in the lake. Officials have warned people not to go to the lake shore with pets. Gloria is the third person to get killed by alligators in Florida in nine months.
