Shankar Mohan named a member of Kerala State Film Development Corporation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has reappointed the board of directors of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation. Shankar Mohan, who resigned from the post of director of KR Narayanan Film Institute, has been named a member. Chairman Shaji N Karun, Managing Director N Maya and former members Shaji Kailas and Sherry Govind have been retained. The new members are Navya Nair, Malaa Parvathi, Parvathy Thiruvoth, Sameera Saneesh, MA Nishad, K Madhu, Babu Namboothiri, M Jayachandran, Irshad, VK Sriraman, Dr Biju, B Unnikrishnan and Adv Melvin Mathew.

Shankar Mohan had resigned as director of KR Narayanan Film Institute after the students staged a massive strike against him alleging caste discrimination. Following this, Adoor Gopalakrishnan also resigned from the post of chairman of the institute.
