THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The role of more bigwigs will be revealed in the case once chief minister’s additional private secretary C M Raveendran is questioned as part of an investigation in the Life Mission bribery case. The ED had issued a notice asking him to appear for interrogation again. However, it is not clear whether he will appear tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Raveendran’s private chats to Swapna have surfaced. The chats were sent on November 6 in 2018. The chat starts with Raveendran asking ‘whether you drink’.
Swapna replies ‘yes’. Raveendran says ‘I too want’. Swapna’s question ‘you drink’, ‘yes’ says Raveendran. An exchange of ideas about drinking alcohol later escalates into lewd remarks such as the preference for drinking milk. It is clear from her reply that she is not encouraging Raveendran's lewd chats. However, the investigation team has not confirmed that these are the chats included in the documents submitted in the court.
Meantime, it is hinted that the ED is likely to take strong action if Raveendran fails to appear for the interrogation. The ED has got legal advice on it. Raveendran appeared for the interrogation for the first time after issuing notice four times. Raveendran has not approached the ED for a change of time.
