Jasprit Bumrah’s return to be delayed, likely to miss IPL and World Test Championship final

kk

MUMBAI: Jasprit Bumrah, India’s premier fast bowler, who was out from the team due to his injury in last September, might take longer to return to the squad. Bumrah will miss not only the Australian series but also the IPL and the World Test Championship final. But it is expected that the player will be able to return to the Indian team in the ODI World Cup that will take place in India this year. The player is under the observation of the National Cricket Academy.

The IPL starts on March 31 after Australia's India tour series. The World Test Championship final will start on June 18. Bumrah suffered back pain during the ODI series against England in July last year. After this, Bumrah also missed the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. The player was also not part of the New Zealand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka series.

Earlier, it was rumoured that the cricketer would make a comeback in the IPL. The fans have also raised harsh criticism against this. Now it is reported that Bumrah's return will be delayed further.
