Huge explosion at firecracker unit in Varappuzha; one dead, six people including children injured

KOCHI: One person was killed and many people were injured in a massive explosion at a firecracker unit in Varappuzha. According to sources, six people, including three children were injured. The workers who were inside the building at the time of the accident were seriously injured. The condition of two persons is critical.

The explosion took place at around 5 pm today. The building was completely destroyed. Houses and vehicles near the firecracker unit were also damaged. Witnesses said that the tremors of the explosions were felt within a radius of two kilometers. The fire force unit has reached the spot.
