Jilted lover stabs woman 16 times to death for rejecting love

BENGALURU: A jilted lover stabbed his girlfriend to death in broad daylight in front of the locals. The incident happened near Omega Healthcare office in Murugeshpalya in Bengaluru. The dead has been identified as Leela Pavithra of Andhra Pradesh. She was an employee of Omega Healthcare firm and he stabbed her in front of her office. The police have arrested Dinakar (28) also from Andhra Pradesh.

Dinakar was working with Logis Healthcare. The two fell in love while they were working together and were in a relationship for the last five years. They decided to get married also. However, her family opposed the relationship due to caste differences. The duo continued their relationship until she informed the accused about her parents' decision.

Dinakar went to her office last evening and waited outside. When she came out, a verbal dispute broke out between the two and it turned ugly. The accused then pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman 16 times in front of the locals.
