KOZHIKODE: How can you bear it if the necklace made by doing housework gets snatched away? Sudha, who ran after the thieves and stopped the auto, is now the star of Kozhikode Narikkuni. Sudha's bravery helped catch the out-of-state smuggler family that the police had been looking for for months. This is a Tamil family of four who rob buses, places of worship, malls, and shops by creating artificial rush. Vijayakumar alias Ayyappan (44), a native of Dindigul Kamakshipuram, his wife Devi (38), Vasantha (45), and daughter Sandhya (25) of Velapetti were arrested.
This is how it happened
Sudha boarded a private bus from Narikkuni at 8:30 in the morning to go for housework. She was sitting in the back seat of the driver. There is a lot of traffic when Thondayad arrived. By the time she moved to the door to get off, two women stood on either side of her. As if the neck was locked to the iron rod.
She found out that the chain was gone when she got off the bus. The matter was confirmed when she saw two women who got off the bus running and getting into an auto. She ran after them and stopped the auto. When she mentioned the matter to the auto driver, he also helped. By that time they threw the chain on the road. Both of them were pulled out, taken across the road and then the police were informed too. When they were interrogated, it was found out that Ayyappan and his second wife, who were regular thieves, were living in Mankara. The rented house was surrounded and they were also arrested. A special team was working under the leadership of District Police Chief Rajpal Meena to catch the gang that had been committing robberies in Kerala for months.
