‘Days of cylinder gas have gone; center is not misusing money;’ K Surendran justifies cooking gas price hike

KOCHI: BJP state president K Surendran justified the hike in the price of cooking gas. The Center is not misusing the money. He said the entire amount due to the petroleum companies has been paid. Gone are the days of cylinder gas. City gas line will reach all cities and with that, the use of cylinders will stop, he said.

Rs 50 was hiked for domestic cylinders yesterday. With this, the price per cylinder will Rs 1110. Rs 351 was hiked for commercial cylinders and the price will be Rs 2124. Earlier it was Rs 1773.
