68-year-old man dies after mobile phone explodes during call

BHOPAL: A 68-year-old man died after his phone exploded in Barnagar in Madhya Pradesh. The explosion happened as he spoke on the phone while charging it. The deceased has been identified as Dayaram Barod. His head, face and chest were fatally injured in the explosion.

Dayaram was talking to his friend when the accident happened. After the phone suddenly switched off, the friend tried to call Dayaram back but he didn't pick up. Later, when the friend came home, he found Dayaram dead.

The forensic team recovered the blasted mobile phone. The phone charger was connected to the switchboard. Due to the mysterious nature of the disaster, the police conducted further tests, but no other explosives were found.
