NEW DELHI: The pictures of Indian soldiers playing cricket in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh, near the site of clash with China in 2020, are out. The soldiers of Patiala Brigade of the third infantry division, also known as the Trishul division were seen playing cricket. The images were shared by Leh-based XIV corps of the Indian army via Twitter.
The images are from the area near the buffer zone around Patrol Point 4. The soldiers can be seen enjoying the match with full enthusiasm and zeal in the extreme high altitude area in sub zero temperatures.

The 17th round of negotiations with China on December 20 did not make much progress. The images were released ahead of the next round of core commander-level talks between the two armies. China is not yet ready for a military withdrawal in the strategic areas of eastern Ladakh, including Depsang. Both armies have deployed 50,000 troops each in the region.
