HC rejects bail plea of Pulsar Suni in actor assault case

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court rejected the bail plea of Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the actor assault case. Suni photographed and sexually assaulted the actress in the case. The order was after accepting the prosecution's argument that the accused should not be granted bail. The hearing in Suni's bail plea was completed on February 27.

The Supreme Court had on July 13 clarified that he can move the high court for bail if the trial is not completed at the stipulated time. Pointing this, he moved the court with the bail plea.

The trial of the case is going on in Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court. Pulsar Suni is presently in Ernakulam sub jail. He has been in jail for the past six years. The actress was attacked in a moving car in February 2017.
