Left leader sexually abuses four girls, branch secretary absconding, explains accused has no connection with party

UDIYANKULANGARA: The Parassala police registered a case against a CPI leader for sexually abusing four minor girls. The case is registered against a person running a welding workshop at Kollayil grama panchayat.

He is CPI’s Udiyankulangara branch secretary. The case is on the complaint of the girls’ parents. The police have registered a POCSO case against him who went absconding after the incident and has intensified the investigation. The complaint said that he constantly abused the children who came to play at his house. He is married and has a child.

CPI Kollayil local committee secretary and Parassala mandalam committee secretary in a statement said the accused has no connection with the party or its affiliated organization.
