Illicit liquor found during inspection; license of bar revoked in Thrissur

THRISSUR: Illicit liquor is being sold in prominent bar in Kerala. On 18 December 2022, illicit liquor was found in the Thrissur Central Residency Thalikullam bar. Vadanapally Excise Circle Inspector and his team seized 7.3 litres of illicit liquor and registered a case. Harry Sabu, the manager of the bar, and Krishnaraj, the licensee was the first and second accused.

Then when they were interrogated, 213 liters of illicit liquor, 20 litres of spirit, 15 liters of arrack and 5 liters of caramel were recovered. During the investigation of the case, the role of the accused in the crime which could threaten the lives of the public was proved beyond doubt and the license of the bar was canceled for violating the license conditions and the Abkari Act.
