THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state disaster management authority has released data that shows an impending sunstroke season for Kerala. Kannur, Kozhikode, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram are warned to prepare for the worst. From now, disaster management will publish data on the rising and falling temperature of the state. The publicized data will help people to get cautioned about venturing out in the sun. The temperature data will be procured through the central government's automatic weather maps.
According to the report, 32 to 41 degrees celsius temperature should be taken with good caution. If the temperature builds up above 42, then it is a strong warning to not go out during peak hours of noon. Thiruvananthapuram got 34.2 degrees celsius today and the data gives signs of coming days of sweltering heat across the state. Kannur had the highest with 37.2 degrees Celsius. It is said that the temperature will rise up to 2 degrees more than the normal level this time, a first in 30 years.
