CHENNAI: The Muslim League Platinum Jubilee delegates' conference demanded that the Congress should come forward to form a broad secular alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Only Congress can unite opposition parties. The League will fully support this. The conference also said that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's way of creating unity and camaraderie among secular parties should be taken as a model.
The meeting also approved the one-year action plans presented by general secretary PK Kunhalikutty to expand the activities of the Muslim League at the national level. A massive conference will be organized in Delhi on November 23 with the participation of various secular parties. Prior to this, conventions will be organized in Ranchi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. While the Youth League will organize the convention in Mumbai, MSF will be the organizer in Hyderabad. Women's League and Lawyers Forum will organize the conventions in Bengaluru and Ranchi respectively. A convention will be held at the international level under the leadership of KMCC and Qaid-e-Millath Forum.
On March 24th, the Parliamentary Board meeting will be convened under the leadership of the Muslim League national committee to examine the parliamentary constituencies where the League has a possibility and the possibilities of a front alliance there. Charity activities will be extended to different states. The party will be popularized among the youth through social media through Youth League and MSF. Books on the history and importance of the League and minority politics will be published in various local languages.
National president Prof K M Kader Mohideen inaugurated the delegates' conference held at Kalaivanar Arangam. Political Affairs Committee chairman Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal presided over the function. PK Kunhalikutty, ET Muhammad Basheer, KAM Abubacker etc. spoke. Around 2,000 delegates from various states participated. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will be the chief guest at the massive rally and closing ceremony to be held at YMCA Stadium in Old Mahabalipuram Road on Friday evening.
