Revenge for cheating, woman pours hot oil on lover’s body

ERODE: The police arrested a woman for pouring burning oil on her 27-year-old lover for cheating her and getting engaged to another woman. The arrested is Meena Devi of Erode in Tamil Nadu. Her lover Karthi who sustained serious burns is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Meena Devi and Karthi are relatives. Karthi working in a private firm in Perundurai was in a relationship with Meena and he had promised to marry her. In the meanwhile, his marriage was fixed with another woman.

A verbal dispute broke out between the two when Meena Devi asked him about it. When the fight escalated, she poured hot burning oil on him. He sustained serious burns on his face and hands. The neighbours came to his rescue after hearing him crying and took him to the hospital. The police have arrested Meena Devi and she has confessed to the crime. The police will conduct an investigation.
