Will provide cooking gas subsidy to everyone without financial criteria; Puducherry govt comes up with budget

PUDUCHERRY: The government of Puducherry on Monday announced a budget that can be very much helpful for the common man. Presenting the budget at the Puducherry Assembly, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy announced that a cooking gas subsidy will be made available to all consumers without considering financial criteria.

Rangasamy said that the government has earmarked Rs 126 crore for implementing the scheme to provide a subsidy of Rs 300 for all families for one cylinder a month. He also said that the government would ban vehicles older than 15 years from plying on the roads. The budget also includes announcements such as an IT park and a special package for traders.
