Firemen rejoice after finishing mission at Brahmapuram, minister shares video

KOCHI: As the tedious task of dousing the fire at the Brahmapuram plant was completed, Minister P Rajeev shared a video of rescue workers celebrating the joy of successfully finishing the job. In a Facebook post, the minister said that the joy of the firemen who worked 24 hours a day for 12 days is a testament to how tough the task was.

He also pointed out that the Air Quality Index in the area is now reaching normal levels. Rajeev added that steps to speedily implement the comprehensive action plan to facilitate waste management in the district will be started on a war footing so that another Brahmapuram does not happen again.
