Man held for raping, extorting Rs 35 lakh from woman on pretext of marriage

KARUNAGAPALLY: The police arrested a man who raped a woman on pretext of marriage. Karunagapally Pulliman Mukku native Safar Ahmed (48) was arrested by the Karunagapally police. He sexually assaulted a woman whom he met at his workplace on pretext of marriage.

In the complaint, the woman says that he had taken Rs 35 lakh from her several occasions. The accused was arrested on the basis of the complaint filed by the woman to the Karunagappally Assistant Commissioner. The accused was arrested by a team consisting of SI Maraya Saji, Suresh Kumar, Shajimon and CPO Hashim ked by Karunagapally Assistant Commissioner VS Pradeep Kumar.
