Mystery shrouds 17-year-old girl’s death in Kollam

KOLLAM: Mystery shrouds the death of a 17-year-old girl who committed suicide in Chadayamangalam. Her family said she took the drastic step due to the annoyance of her male friend. They alleged mystery on her death and demanded an investigation.

The girl got intimate with her friend when she was in the ninth class. Reports said that he bought a phone for her. Even after her family’s warning, he continued meeting her. So, she was shifted to her relative’s house in Kattappana.

The locals saw the two talking last Monday. She was found hanging when her mother came back from work.
