State govt did not respond despite informing them of sending team of expert doctors after Brahmapuram fire: Centre

NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya said that the state government did not respond despite informing them that an team of expert doctors would be sent to Kochi after Brahmapuram fire. This was informed by Jebi Mather MP after the meeting with the minister.

MPs from Kerala and Union Minister V Muraleedharan had informed the Union Health Minister that there are serious health problems due to the presence of smoke after the burning of waste in Brahmapuram. After this, the Centre informed the state government that it is ready to send an expert team.

Mansukh Mandavya stated that the state government's stand wasn't favourable. As per Jebi Mather, the government did not seek the help of the Centre to hide the Brahmapuram issue completely.
