THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SFI protest in the government law college blocking principal and other 20 faculties resulted in chaos as a faculty V K Sanju got injured. The principal and the injured teacher complained against the union to the city police commissioner and the museum police. On the 14th of this month, a skirmish between KSU and SFI started the issue. The college staff council later obtained CCTV footage that saw SFI students intruding into the college premise tarnishing and bringing down KSU flex boards and flags during the dead hours of the night. The staff council held a meeting on Thursday and decided to suspend the students which triggered the left students union to team up and sit in protest in front of the principal's office.

The PTA executives tried a pacifying act but the students held firm. They even blocked water and food for the principal and other teachers. The principal says it was people from outside who didn’t allow water or food to the faculties. There were many faculties who relied on medicines, but the SFI showed their stern face keeping aside any act of kindness. Meanwhile, V K Sanju, a faculty tried coming out of the room which irked the many SFI student cadres who started pushing her inside resulting in chaos. The teachers started shouting back and a scuffle happened. The teachers got out of the room at 12 am midnight only after police intrusion into the issue.

Yesterday. KSU and teachers inside the campus held a protest and decided to not take any classes until punitive actions are in place.
