THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President Draupadi Murmu, who was visiting Kerala for the first time, was given a guard of honor by the combined forces at the airport. The President took the salute. Then the President left for Kollam to visit the Amritanandamayi Math and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Transport Minister Antony Raju, Mayor Arya Rajendran, and Air Vice Marshal SK. Accordingly, Public Administration Department Additional Chief Secretary KR Jyothilal, Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner Nagaraju, and District Collector Jeromick George set off on the journey.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the Amadapetti to the President as a gift from Kerala at the public reception at Uday Palace. As a gift to Kudumbashree, Minister MB Rajesh presented a picture of Draupadi Murmu painted by Master Aju of Wayanad Buds School. Mayor Arya Rajendran presented the golden royal seal of Travancore to the President.
