MK Muneer likely to be elected as Muslim League general secretary, state council meet to be held today

KOZHIKODE: Muslim League state council will convene in Kozhikode today to elect new office bearers. MK Muneer is more likely to be elected as the General Secretary. Muneer has the support of most of the district office bearers. As Kunhalikutty faction has started move to elect PMA Salam as the general secretary again, the other faction came in support of Muneer.

The council is at 11 am. Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal has suggested to reach a consensus before this. Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal made it clear that things will not go to elections. A decision has not been reached on the selection of state officials. Muneer has the support of most of the district office bearers. As they failed to reach a consensus, Sadiq Ali Thangal called the district officials of the League to Malappuram and asked for their opinion. It is indicated that they also support Muneer.
