Kerala sanctions Rs 10 cr aid to earthquake-ravaged Turkey

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that Kerala has sanctioned Rs 10 crore as aid to earthquake-ravaged Turkey. The Union Ministry of External Affairs had given permission to transfer the amount to Turkey on Friday.

The earthquake in Turkey claimed tens of thousands of lives and left hundreds of thousands destitute. People from all over the world came forward to help the earthquake victims. The Minister informed that, at this juncture, the help extended to Kerala from different corners of the world during the flood and natural calamities is remembered with gratitude.
