NEWYORK: US state bans birth control pills. The controversial order was issued by the state of Wyoming. The new order bans the sale of contraceptive pills as well as the ones prescribed by doctors.

The authorities have decided to implement the order strictly. Those who violate the ban will face up to six months in prison and a $9,000 fine. Wyoming is governed by the far-right Republican Party. Human rights activists also came out in protest against the controversial order. Meanwhile, some states in the United States have recently made abortion a crime. The move to ban birth control pills happened when human rights activists were fighting against this.
