Sanju Samson for SKY trends Twitter; Rohit Sharma still not impressed

MUMBAI: India suffered a humiliating defeat against Australia in Vizag yesterday. The batting lineup crumbled without giving a fight. The hard hitter Surya Kumar Yadav, known as ‘SKY’ was a disappointment in all aspects. In the last two ODI, the batsman trudged back to the pavilion with no runs. Now, the fans and people had enough of these redundant performances. A Twitter campaign has sprouted and is turning ferocious. The hashtag #Sanjusamason to call the star batsman and an often neglected name into the Indian team is on the run. Meanwhile, the fans got triggered after Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave his backing to Surya Kumar Yadav which implicitly tells that Sanju's entry into the game is still a far cry.

But far afar, in Jodhpur, Sanju Samson has started his practice session for Rajasthan royals. A video is on the rounds on social media telling how well the batsman can time a shot in pellet-like precision. Sanju showed his mettle when called for national duty and was a star with his bat during the Sri Lanka series. An injury suffered distanced him from the pitch. The Kerala batsman was training for recovery in the national cricket academy in Bangalore.
