Amal’s murder: No evidence to prove that he was attacked, states police

VADANAPPALLY: The son of a CPM woman leader died after beaten up by a local CPM leader. The police said that no evidence has been received so far which proves that he died due to attack. The dead is Amal Krishnan (31), son of K B Sudha, a CPM leader, block panchayat member and mahila association leader. A complaint was filed after his death. A preliminary post-mortem examination revealed no internal or external injuries. Vadanappally police inspector Sabuji said that the body tissues were sent to the Medical College Pathology Lab to find out whether the man, who was taking medicine for mental issues, was poisoned by the medicine. The internal organs are being sent to Forensic Lab in Kakkanad to ascertain the cause of death. A clear picture will be received only after receiving the result.

Meanwhile, Amal Krishna's mother's sister filed a police complaint alleging that his death was due to the attack. Amal was injured in the clash that took place in front of the Engandiyoor panchayat office on February 1. The body which was brought home after postmortem was cremated.
