Special team led by Kannur SP to probe CPM’s complaint against Swapna Suresh 

KANNUR: A special team has been formed to investigate the case registered on the complaint of CPM against Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case and Vijesh Pillai, CEO of Action OTT Platform in Bengaluru. Kannur SP Hemalatha IPS will lead the investigation team. Kannur City, Rural ASPs and DySPs are included in the team.

The investigation team said the statement of CPM Thalipparambu area secretary K Santhosh, who filed a complaint against Swapna Suresh and Vijesh Pillai, will be recorded soon. The complaint was filed seeking action for the smear campaigns against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and party state secretary M V Govindan.

The complaint said efforts are on to defame the chief minister, his family and M V Govindan. The things said on Swapna’s Facebook Live is baseless. No evidences or audio messages were released to support it. The complaint said the Facebook Live aimed to mislead people that M V Govindan, Swapna and Vijesh had contacted.
