Prayers yield no results; Story writer and translator S Jayesh passes away

CHENNAI: S Jayesh, a young story writer of the Malayalam film industry and translator passed away. He was 39. He died Wednesday morning at 7 am while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Coimbatore. Jayesh admitted in the hospital for fever sustained serious injuries in a fall.

He died while his friends were collecting money for his treatment. He had published the story collections Mayakadal, Oridathoru Lineman and Parajitharude Rathri. Jayesh had translated the works of popular Tamil writers Charunivedita and Perumal Murukan.

He hails from Palakkad. His last rites will be held at Thenkurissi Vilayannur at 10 am Thursday morning.
