Big B’s aide loses expensive phone worth lakhs; 62-year-old porter finds and gives it

MUMBAI: A porter is being lauded for his kind act of returning a mobile phone of Rs 1.4 lakh to the makeup artist of Amitabh Bachchan. 62-year-old Dashrath Daund has been working as a porter at Dadar Station for three decades.

Daund found the phone in the seating area of the station on Monday. He immediately handed over the phone to the railway police. Police praised his honesty. The police later found that the phone belong to Deepak Sawant, make up artist of Amitabh Bachchan. The Sawant family offered a reward of Rs 1000 to Daund.

‘Daund found the phone lying in the seating area at around 11.40 pm. He picked it up and asked the passengers seated nearby whether it belonged to them. He later handed over the phone to the railway police as he never takes the belongings of others. The police later informed him that the owner has been traced.
