KOZHIKODE: Police have taken action against those who tried to influence the survivor in the case where a young woman was sexually assaulted at the ICU of the Kozhikode Medical College. A case has been registered against five women staff of the hospital under the non-bailable sections such as influencing witnesses and intimidation. It is alleged that the hospital staff arrived in their official dress and asked the survivor to change her statement. The arrest of the accused will be recorded after departmental action is taken against them.

The young woman, who was in the intensive care unit of the hospital after undergoing thyroid surgery, was sexually assaulted by an employee named Saseendran. He was earlier arrested by the police.
