KOZHIKODE: The women's commission has registered a suo moto case in the incident in which a Russian woman, who came from Qatar, sought treatment at the medical college for injuries. The commission sought an urgent report from the police station officer in Koorachunde. Efforts are being taken to take the statement of the Russian woman. As the woman knows only Russian, has to seek the help of an interpreter for it.

The 27-year-old woman reached the district with a youth of Kalanjali a few months ago. The locals informed that the woman sustained injuries after jumping from the terrace following a fight with the youth. The youth could not be traced. The woman is out of danger. The woman was first admitted at Koorachunde Government Hospital and later at the medical college. The police have not yet registered a case.

The locals also said a fight broke out between the two in the car and the woman alighted from the car and was seen crying. The locals informed about it to the Perambra police.
