Congress begins satyagraha at Rajghat against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification; Priyanka Gandhi and senior leaders join protest

NEW DELHI: Congress begins satyagraha at Rajghat today to protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as Lok Sabha MP. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal have joined the satyagraha along with senior party leaders in Delhi. The satyagraha started at 10 am and will end at 5 pm.

Delhi police have denied permission to the Congress to carry out a protest at Rajghat. But the Congress is organizing the satyagraha amid this. Congress is also conducting nationwide protests along with the satyagraha. The protests are also being held at district headquarters. Congress alleges that the BJP is trying to trap Rahul Gandhi. KPCC President K Sudhakaran inaugurated the satyagraha at Gandhi Park in East Fort Thiruvananthapuram. The opposition leader is participating in the protest in Kochi.
