NEW DELHI: The Congress MPs who tore the circular disqualifying Rahul Gandhi may soon be served with suspension. Kerala MP Hibi Eden and T N Prathapan were the two congress officials who went off-kilter with their volatile protest. The speaker deemed the conduct demeaning and not in perfect suit with the standards upheld by the parliament.
The Lok Sabha started today morning for the first time without congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The Kerala MPs who makes a sufficient number inside the house reached the speaker and tore down the circular only to aim at the speaker himself. The house got interrupted with clamors and slogans in support of the congress leader.
It was last week that Gandhi scion Rahul got his marching orders from Lok Sabha after the Surat court convicted him for making casteist statements way back in 2019.
