Man sentenced to life imprisonment found guilty of killing friend in another case

KOLLAM: The court held that the man who was sentenced to life imprisonment for burying his mother alive is also guilty of killing his friend. S Subhash, Kollam Additional Court IV Judge found Sunil Kumar guilty of the crime.

Suresh Babu (41, Sura), a worker at Sreeja Well Works, Parvathyar Junction, Kollam, was killed by Sunilkumar. The incident took place on December 26, 2015 at 10 pm. Sunil Kumar was working with Suresh Babu in an establishment near Amman Nada in Pattathanam. Taking a portion of the salary they both got, they drank together. There was a dispute while dividing the remaining amount. Alleging that Suresh Babu had robbed him of the money, Sunil Kumar attacked him with an iron rod and killed him. During the trial of the case, Sunil Kumar killed his mother Savithri by burying her alive in the house due to a property dispute. Sunil Kumar was found guilty in the case and punished two weeks ago. S Sherif, who was the CI of Kollam Control Room, investigated the case and submitted the charge sheet. KB Mahendra appeared before the court for the prosecution.
