The Cholas are back; ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ trailer out, watch video

Owing to the exhilaration of the fans, the makers have released the much-awaited trailer of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ (PS 2). The 3.26-minute trailer leaves the fans enthralled to watch the second part of the film.

Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' is based on the famous novel by writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. The first part of the film was released last year. ‘PS2’ is the sequel to this.

The film has a star-studded cast including Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Rahman, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Babu Antony, Riyas Khan, Lal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Jayachitra. The movie will hit the theatres on April 28.

AR Rahman's music, Ravi Varman's cinematography and Thota Tharani's art direction are the attractive elements of ‘PS 2’. Produced jointly by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, 'PS-2' will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Kamal Haasan launched the trailer of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' at a function held at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai. The pictures and videos of the actors Aishwarya Rai and Trisha at the trailer launch event are now circulating on social media. Both of them looked stunning at the event.
