Major theft at Vijay Yesudas’ house in Chennai, housemaid suspected

CHENNAI: A major theft at the house of actor and singer Vijay Yesudas. The family lodged a complaint at the Abiramapuram police last night claiming to have lost 60 sovereigns including diamond jewellery.

Vijay lives in Abiramapuram Third Street in Chennai. His complaint suspected the role of his housemaid in the theft. The police have registered a case and has started an investigation. The CCTV visuals are being examined.

A similar theft had taken place at Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s house. Her gold and diamond jewellery were stolen. The incident came to light after she lodged a complaint. The police arrested her housemaid and driver after an investigation.

They stole her gold kept in the locker after using it for her sister’s wedding in 2019. She had shifted this locker to three places. The keys were kept in the almirah of her bedroom. The maid who knew this stole the jewellery.
