rape

BENGALURU: A young woman was forcibly dragged from the park into a car and raped by a gang of four. The incident took place at the National Games Village Park in Koramangala, Bengaluru. The woman had come to the park with her male friend on March 25 after 9:30 pm. While the two were talking and smoking, the accused approached them and objected to their smoking. He threatened the woman and her friend later and sent the male friend off.

After the girl's friend left had left the spot, the accused who was waiting outside the park gathered three of his friends and forcibly dragged the girl into a vehicle. The woman was raped when the car was moving through multiple spots, namely Domlur, Ejipura, and Hosur Roads. The physically exhausted woman was dropped off by the group of attackers near her house early in the morning. They also threatened to kill her if she complained about the incident to the police.

Despite the threats from the gang, the woman filed a complaint with the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-east) C K Baba said that all four of them who committed the crime were arrested. Although the victim did not identify them clearly, their faces were familiar to her and they live in the same locality. During the investigation, a police officer identified the accused as Vijay, Sridhar, Kiran, and Satish. The police informed that the victim is being treated in a hospital.
