Major fire breaks out in textile shop in Kozhikode; cars destroyed

KOZHIKODE: A major fire broke out in a textile shop in Kozhikode. It occurred at Jayalakshmi Silks building in Kallayi road. Twelve fire force units have reached the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

The incident happened around 6 am on Saturday. The cars which were parked outside the shop were destroyed. The fire was first seen in the car parked outside and then smoke was seen coming out from the second floor of the building. The initial conclusion is that a short circuit caused the fire.
