Clash breaks out between BJP and Congress workers in TN during protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification

NAGERCOIL: A clash ensued between Congress and BJP workers during Youth Congress protest in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi as Lok Sabha MP. Youth Congress activists were protesting near the BJP office in Nagercoil. A clash broke out when the police tried to move the protesters from the spot.

Following this, the BJP workers and Congress activists started pelting stones and beating each other. After the incident, the BJP workers led by MLA MR Gandhi later staged a 'Road Roko' protest.

Meanwhile, the Surat Sessions Court granted bail in the appeal filed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the defamation case. The case will be heard again on 13th of this month.

Two weeks ago, there was a clash between BJP and Congress workers in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The dispute over the boards set up by the parties turned into a clash.
