KOCHI: Murali Apadath is a food delivery guy. But what if we say that the same guy is the music director behind more than 1300 songs of which many were rendered by K S Chitra and Veteran K J Yesudas?

Murali has a recording studio in Vennala. After completing the work in his studio, Murali will hit the streets to take the role of a food delivery guy. Murali during his prime days helped many physically disabled people to enter the music world. The trait is still intact. Now if anyone comes near his doorstep for help, Murali will abide by and reach for ways to help that man. It was in 2021 that he spent RS 17 Lakh to set up a music studio. He had all knowledge about how financially arduous it will be to run a studio, but his sheer liking for the trade made Murali choose the difficult route. He now works late into the night from 7 pm to morning 4:30 to strive for a living.

Murali is the son of a famed singer and coolie Ottapalm Haridasan Nair. Murali acquired Ganabhusanam from Chembai music college and got accustomed to amateur music direction. When poverty crept in, he went abroad and looked for other works including welding to hold on to life. With all the savings and with his friend's help, Murali started a music recording studio in 2021. He had a long-yearned dream to make Yesudas sing for his tunes. The dream turned reality with the legendary singer humming for “chundil chundil” a song tuned by Murali in 2020. The moment is forever etched and cherished by this hardworking man.
