No more kerosene for white, blue ration card owners

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The middle class held white and blue ration cards got immediate reforms from the Kerala government. From now, the aforementioned card owners will not have kerosene on their list of purchases. There are a total of 51.8 lakh white and blue card owners in the state.

Meanwhile, the yellow and pink card owners will get kerosene once in three months. There are a total of 41.44 lakh yellow and pink card holders in the state. Those houses that are still not electrified will continue getting kerosene from ration shops.

The move comes after the central government cut short the three months stock of kerosene supply form 3888 kilolitres to 1944 kilolitres.
