Worms in porridge served to women after delivery in hospital

ALAPPUZHA: Worms were seen in the porridge served to women admitted after delivery in the hospital. Reports said worms were seen in the porridge served last night in the women and children’s hospital in Alappuzha Beach. The canteen is run by Kudumbashree.

Out of the porridge served to 20, 18 had taken it. A dead worm was noticed when one took to drink it. They immediately informed the authorities. No one has so far reported any health issues. The health department will inspect the canteen today and action will be taken after that.
