NEW DELHI: Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova will commence a four-day visit to India on Monday to discuss the implications of the ongoing conflict with Russia, bilateral relations and global issues of mutual interest.
During the visit, the Minister is expected to seek India’s aid and equipment to repair energy infrastructure damaged during Russian invasion.
Dzhaparova will hold talks with Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi and Deputy National Security Adviser Vikram Misri.
“India shares warm and friendly relations with Ukraine and over the last 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, the bilateral cooperation between the two countries has made tremendous progress in the fields of trade, education, culture and defence”, Ministry of External Affairs said in a press release.
Dzhaparova is also expected to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kyiv.
