‘Missing’ wife reaches police station with social media friend; husband stabs youth with scissors smeared with poison and glue

MALA: A man stabbed his wife’s friend at the police station where they reached to solve some family issues. The incident happened at the Mala police station Tuesday afternoon at 1.30 pm. Abhilash (34) of Pazhayannur stabbed his wife’s friend Sajeesh (35) of Karyattukara with scissors.

Abhilash’s wife of Vadama in Mala had eloped with Sajeesh whom she got met on social media. Abhilash had lodged a missing complaint at the Mala police station. All three reached the police station in connection with the complaint.

While talking to the police, Abhilash in a fit of rage stabbed Sajeesh on his forehead with a pair of scissors. The police said that he came to the station with scissors hidden in his hand and while talking, he suddenly took it and stabbed him.

The scissors were smeared with a mixture of glue and poison. The police said they have not identified what kind of substance it is. Sajeesh, who sustained injuries on his forehead, has been admitted to a private hospital. The police have collected evidence from the shops where the accused bought the scissors and other things.
