No proof against advocate Saiby Jose in cheating case, say police report

KOCHI: The police report said there is presently no proof in the cheating case against advocate Saiby Jose Kidangoor. This was clarified in the report submitted in the high court. Police said there is no proof for him demanding and accepting cash for verdict scam. The Cheranalloor police registered a case on the complaint of native of Kothamangalam that Saiby cheated after receiving Rs 5 lakh to withdraw from a case which is in the family court. The police informed that the detailed investigation of the case is going on.

Saiby was the counsel for the complainant's wife. Saiby accepted money saying that the case filed by his wife including in the family court will be withdrawn. The complaint is that after receiving the money, the case in the Aluva court was withdrawn but the case in the family court was not withdrawn. The complainant also alleged that he threatened to block his passport.
